This license covers the workflow template you bought from Justin Halter ("we", "us"), sold through the Halter Home Labs store: the workflow JSON, README, Docker hosting guide and any other files in the download (together, the "Template"). By downloading or using the Template you agree to these terms. "You" means the person or business named on the order.
1. What your license covers
One license covers one business (you, your company, or your nonprofit). That business may use the Template for its own operations, on as many n8n instances as it runs, by as many of its own staff as it likes. Contractors you hire may work on the Template for you, only for your business. The n8n Workflow Bundle gives one business this license for each of the five workflows in it.
Setting it up for a client. If you build automations for other businesses, you may install and customize the Template for a client only if that client's business holds its own license (one purchase for each business that runs it). Run each client's copy on n8n that the client controls or that is licensed for that use (see section 4). Your client gets the right to use the workflow for its own business, not the right to pass the Template on.
2. What you may do
- Import, run, modify and extend the Template, and combine it with your own workflows.
- Keep backup copies.
- Keep using your copy forever. The license does not expire.
Free updates (bug fixes and compatibility with newer n8n 2.x releases) for 12 months from purchase.
3. What you may not do
- Resell, share, sublicense, give away or publish the Template or a lightly modified version of it, whether alone, in a bundle, on a template marketplace, or in a public repository.
- Offer the Template, or a product built mainly from it, as a template, course asset or competing product.
- Install the Template for another business that does not hold its own license.
- Remove the copyright notice in the README.
4. n8n and other third-party software
The Template is a set of instructions that runs on n8n, which is made by n8n GmbH and licensed by them, not by us. Buying this Template does not give you a license to n8n. Your use of n8n is governed by n8n's own license (for the self-hosted Community Edition, the Sustainable Use License), and of any AI or email provider you connect, by that provider's terms. In particular, n8n's license restricts hosting n8n as a paid service for other people. If you run client workflows on an instance you operate, check n8n's terms or ask n8n first.
5. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for how you configure and use the Template, the credentials you add, the data you send through it, and for testing it before you rely on it.
- AI scoring templates: scores are suggestions, not decisions. Keep a person reviewing results. Do not use the Template as the sole basis for decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, education or eligibility for services, and make sure any such use meets the laws that apply to you (for example, anti-discrimination and consumer-reporting laws).
- You are responsible for complying with email, privacy and data-protection laws for the messages you send and the personal data you process.
6. Ownership
We keep the copyright in the Template. You own your own data and any changes you make, but changes do not give you the right to redistribute our original work.
7. Refunds
Because the Template is a digital download, sales are final once the files have been downloaded. If the files are corrupt, missing, or materially different from the product description, email hello@halterhomelabs.com within 14 days of purchase and we will fix it or refund you.
8. No warranty
THE TEMPLATE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE TEMPLATE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH FUTURE VERSIONS OF n8n OR OF ANY CONNECTED SERVICE. Nothing in this section limits the product description we published or any right you have that cannot be waived by law.
9. Limit of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, ARISING FROM THE TEMPLATE OR THIS LICENSE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE TEMPLATE.
10. Ending the license
If you break section 3, your license ends automatically and you must delete your copies. Sections 4–11 survive.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri. If a court finds any part of this license unenforceable, the rest still applies. This is the whole agreement about the Template. We may update this license for future purchases; the version in your download applies to that purchase.
