Free discovery call.
If it's a good fit, we set up a 30-minute call to talk it through, booked by replying to our email or through the form on halterhomelabs.com. We ask about the parts that usually get missed, and tell you plainly if something simpler would do the job.

Agree the scope.
If it's a good fit, we send a written scope with a fixed price: what we'll build, what's left out, how changes are handled, and the delivery date. Scope and price are fixed before any work starts.

Pay once you've accepted the scope.
We only ask for payment after you accept the scope. You then get an invoice.

Build and handover.
You work directly with the developer throughout. We build and test it, then hand over the final deliverables with a walkthrough.
Questions
When do I pay?
After you accept the written scope and quote. Then we send an invoice. Nothing is charged when you request a quote or for the discovery call.
Who owns the code?
Once the project is paid in full, you own the custom code we write for you. Open-source libraries and third-party services stay under their own licenses, and your written scope lists them.
Can you host and maintain it after launch?
Yes, if you'd like us to. Hosting & Care and an Automation Retainer are available as monthly plans; pricing depends on what we're hosting, and it's set in your quote. You can also host it yourself, and the handover walkthrough covers what you need to run it.
What if I need changes partway through?
The written scope says what's included and how changes are handled. If you want something the scope doesn't cover, we'll quote it separately before we do any of the extra work. The agreed price doesn't change without your say-so.
Do you use AI?
Yes. We use AI-assisted tools in development. Every project is designed, reviewed and tested by us before delivery.
